Louise like Pete said - don't feel bad about this, you did nothing wrong and as far as I'm concerned it's obvious you were acting in good faith.  So big hug from me.

If it hadn't been you who spotted the alert, somebody else would have I'm sure. No reason to beat yourself up.

Louise.
Please do not blame yourself,   no one is to blame.
We are doing our own research into this, and we are uncovering a very complicated tale .

Thank you Pete, wild_corgi and Michael for your kind words of comfort, I admit I was perhaps a bit hysterical, but this is all pretty weird and upsetting.

And "very complicated tale" doesn't make it sound less weird, so I wonder what's coming up next  :-\

It is all pretty weird. We really don't know what's coming up next! There might be more clarification on Monday, who knows?!

whaaat? this is such a weird thing to happen. i'm sorry it did for you guys - maybe (hopefully) her management will book her a gig there when it should've been there since i feel like that'd be the best consolation for everyone? bah what a strange strange thing. louise, it's definitely not your fault! were i not draining my funds the next couple of weeks, i'd have been there with you guys.  really hope everything gets sorted and they figure out what happened.

Pete, I hope so.

Thanks, em! Well, a replacement gig would be great, but I think Anna is not interested anymore.

We have now found out that the cancelled concert was entirely the fault of the WDR, who had not even booked Anna !
As we hoped, neither Anna nor her manager were in anyway to blame.

Hiroki has been very helpful in keeping us informed of the situation, and has even put us into contact with a person at the WDR who will repay us all our lost money , even our air fares.

We would like to publicly thank him for all his hard work .
There cannot be many managers of artists who would go to so much trouble to help their fans.

Once again, we are lucky to be fans of Anna Calvi  :)

I'm very relieved that this story has got now a happy ending at least in terms of you all getting your money back.
I don't know what was wrong with WDR, this is very unlike them, maybe it was wishful thinking of them ;).

Yeah, Hiroki, we owe you one :).
