Love Won't Be Leaving - Guitar Tab
« on: November 19, 2013, 06:55:10 PM »
Here is a tab I made a year ago and uploaded on ultimate-guitar:

Quote
Okay, so all this was done by ear and looking live videos, I'm pretty sure it's 100%
correct though erare humanum est haha.

The song is played one half-step down (like the whole album)

I don't tab rythm, just listen to the song while reading the tab, I don't think that's too hard.

Here is the intro :

eb ---------------
Bb ---10----8----
Gb ----9----9----
Db ---10----10--
Ab ---------------
Eb ---------------   x2

then

eb --------------------------
Bb ----6---------6----------
Gb ----7----5----7---(2)---
Db ----8----7----8----3----
Ab ---------7---------3-----
Eb --------(5)--------1-----

Played those two parts twice.

Then enter second guitar with a little riff (while guitar 1 is playing the F)

eb ----------------
Bb ----------------
Gb ----------------
Db -------5...----- (let ring that Gb)
Ab ---6-7----------
Eb -----------------

Here is the verse, starting on the E tone, just turn with that riff :

"Hope this letter finds.."

eb -------------------------------
Bb ----------^-------^----------
Gb --0------5-4-----4-3---0-----
Db --2--------------------2------
Ab --2--------------------2------  and then back to E
Eb --0----3------2--------0------

Chorus :

These are standard chords:

 Am            C         C                        Bb       F
"Love won't be leaving.. It won't be gone until I find the way"

Played two times

Then :

 G         F           E                      F
"I draw my name in the sun and I hope it will find you"

And

 Am            C         C                        Bb       F     E
"Love won't be leaving.. It won't be gone until I find the way---ay"

Back to verse 2, same as verse one :

"My desire is so strong.."

eb ------------------------------
Bb ------------------------------
Gb --0------5-4-----4-3---0----
Db --2--------------------2-----
Ab --2--------------------2-----  and then back to E
Eb --0----3------2--------0-----

Then after 4 times, comes the interlude, which is basically improvised on live version,
anyway I tab what is play on album :

eb -----------------------^-------------------------------
Bb ------5-(let ring)----5-3v--(lr)----^-----------------
Gb ---3b------------------------------4-2-----2-2-2-2b--
Db --------------------------------------------------------
Ab --------------------------------------------------------
Eb --------------------------------------------------------

^ = pull-off
b = bend
v = vibrato`
(lr) = let ring)

         ^
eb -----7-5b--0--7-5--------7-5----------------7-7-7b---
Bb ---5-----------------0--------etc... then---------------
Gb ---------------------------------------------------------
Db ---------------------------------------------------------
Ab ---------------------------------------------------------
Eb ---------------------------------------------------------

Then back to :

 G       F           E                      F
"I draw my name in the sun and I hope it will find you"

Two times, then back to lat chorus :

 Am            C         C                        Bb       F
"Love won't be leaving.. It won't be gone until I find the way"

Played two times

Then :

 G         F           E                      F
"I draw my name in the sun and I hope it will find you"

 G         F           E                      F
"Oh I draw my name in the sun and I hope it will find you"

Then this is the same but one whole step up, so it goes like this :

 Bm            D         D                        C    G
"Love won't be leaving.. It won't be gone until I find the way" (Figure A)

Played two times then

 Bm            C         C                        G    F#
"Love won't be leaving.. It won't be gone until I find the way" (Figure B)

And back to : Bm - D - D - C - G

Then :

"La, la-la-la la, la la-la-la-la la"

Figure A x 2
Figure B x 1
Figura A x 1

Then back to F#, let ring, and the song ends.

That's done, hope you'll enjoy it,

Thank you for doing this! I've been using your version on Ultimate Guitar for so long without knowing it was you :) It's spot on as well.
